John 3:16 says, “for God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.”
If you are a believer in Jesus Christ and have not been baptized, we encourage you to follow through in this act of obedience. Baptism is simply an outward testimony of an inward transformation! The Bible gives us instruction for baptism and gives many examples of new believers being baptized in water.
Whether you’ve just accepted Jesus as your Savior or if you made that decision years ago, following through in baptism is an important step that we would love to help you take.

NEXTsteps Classes
Desire to learn more about HBC’s strategy and mission? Or maybe you already know a lot about us, but you want to learn about all the ways you can serve or go on mission through Hephzibah. Either way, this class is for you! View our upcoming or current class dates and time below:
- We typically offer classes 1-2 times per quarter. Dates will be updated here as we have new classes scheduled!
- This class will run on Sundays during one of the service hours for 4 weeks. We will have lunch after 2nd service with our church staff on the final week!

We recommend taking this class right before or right after joining our church family. We will discuss church membership, baptism, service, mission partnerships, our ministries, and more.
