Welcome to Fit4Him Kidz!

We understand the importance of ministering to children during their formative years with the good news of Jesus Christ! We count it a privilege to join with you in growing up young believers who will impact the world with the Gospel.

Fit4Him Kidz Ministry seeks to do this by…
  • Unconditionally loving children through the teaching of God’s Word.
  • Providing a safe, structured environment in which we can teach an understanding of sin and their need for Christ as their Savior.
  • Equipping our children as they learn God-honoring habits
  • Developing relationships with each child because your child will see the same teachers every week.

We have an awesome team ready for kids of every age!

Our Jumpin' Junction is for two month olds - Pre-Kindergarten.

Our experienced teachers will take great care of your little ones and teach them about Jesus while you’re in Connect Group and Worship. Your child will have two sets of teachers each week: one set at 9:00 am and one set at 10:30 am. These teachers will be the same each week! You’ll find us on the 100 Level on the Preschool Hall. Preschoolers stay in the same classroom all morning.

Older preschoolers who attend the 10:30 am class will also attend "Wrap-Up" at the conclusion of their class which is a short, engaging worship time with other classes.

Fit4Him Kidz is for Kindergarten - 4th Grade

This group will spend about an hour and twenty minutes in a Connect Group with friends their age and then spend about an hour and twenty minutes in Children's Worship. We don't waste one single minute - every bit of their experience here will be teaching them about Jesus in a fun, lively environment.

Children's Worship is at 10:30 am, so your kids in Kindergarten through 4th grade will go to Connect Group at 9:00 am. They will love singing, dancing, and learning in our Rally Room during Children's Worship! The sermon in Children's Worship is based on the same Scripture that adults hear in their Worship service. This is a great way for your K-4th grader to get to experience worship and teaching at their pace and learning level! We teach children many things about faith and salvation. We also focus on learning to take notes in worship (even if that means drawing pictures for the younger ones). Children's Worship is not a requirement - your kids can attend regular Worship with you but we encourage you to let them attend this great learning opportunity where they are challenged in ways that they will understand.

Preteens | 5th - 6th Graders

Preteens take learning about their faith in Jesus to an even deeper level.
They are learning to study the Bible on their own, to pray, how to have a quiet time, and how to think through their faith.
We are preparing them to enter the Student Ministry, hopefully as a Christian, but more than that, already on the way to great discipleship and being ready to do life as a teenager!

We have Connect Groups for Preteens during our 9:00 am and 10:30 am worship times.
Preteen classrooms are on our 300 Level.
Your Preteens should attend Worship with you during the hour they are not in Connect Group.

Preteen Special Events

Hayride & Cookout

Our preteens look forward to this event each year! Parents can drop their preteens off for a hayride, bonfire with s'mores, a hotdog cookout, and other fun activities. Registration will open in October!

Operation Christmas Child

We take all of our preteens on a shopping trip to buy items for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes! We have lunch, shop, and pack shoeboxes as a group. This event will take place in November and registration will open in late October.

Our biggest preteen event of the year, this exciting weekend is hosted through HBC's Student Ministry for 5th - 12th graders. Held March 24th - 26th, we gather students together from churches in the area to worship, learn, have fun, and serve together. Our preteens only participate in the first night of D-Now (whereas the older students participate for two nights). If you have questions about D-Now, please contact Terry here. Register today!

Summer Activities

We take our preteens out a couple of times over the summer for things like bowling, trampoline parks, etc. The activities may vary from year to year, but we will always have sign-ups for these in our Preteen classes and on our website.

Kids of all ages | 6:30 pm each week

AWANA weekly check-in and pick up will be on the 100 and 300 levels.
The 100 level is for 3 - 4 year olds, and the 300 level is where Kindergarten - 6th grade meets.

Babies + Toddlers

We don't believe in the word "childcare" here at HBC. We are here to teach the Bible even from the youngest age! Infants are hearing about God's love as they're held and rocked, and toddlers learn songs and Bible stories that give them a firm Gospel foundation.

We have Wednesday night classes for ages six months - two years.

AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" and comes from 2 Timothy 2:15.
Awana gives all children the opportunity to grow in spiritual disciplines like reading the Bible and memorizing verses.
Kids are rewarded each week and have lots of fun with friends!

AWANA is for three year olds - 6th graders.

I'm new! What do I need to know?

There are two rooms on our 100 Level children's hall where you can check your kids in on Sunday mornings or any time they're going to a class. You will complete a digital check-in for each child. A portion of the printed sticker goes on your child's back and you'll keep the stub for pick-up later!

Our electronic check-in system makes things pretty easy, but we always have helpers available to assist! You can also email our Children's Ministry Assistant for more information about check-in and our policies.

Come early

Don't be stressed about making it to service on time! Be sure to come a little early to give yourself plenty of time to meet the team and drop your kids off before heading into the Worship Center.
