Welcome to HBC Kids
At Hephzibah Kids we partner with parents as they educate, train, and prepare children for a Gospel-centered life. We keep Jesus the focus of our ministry and use the Bible as the core of all classroom instruction. We provide a safe, structured learning environment where children will develop meaningful relationships with each other, teachers, and ultimately Jesus Christ.
Sunday Morning
Preschool
Our Preschool Ministry serves children from three months to pre-kindergarten.
Preschool connect groups are offered at 9:00 am and 10:30 am. This allows you to participate in a connect group or serve and take part in the main service while your child is cared for in a gospel-centered, safe classroom. During both group sessions children will participate in an interactive Bible lesson.
Older preschoolers who attend the 10:30 am groups also attend a “wrap-up session” where they will have a short, engaging worship session with other preschool groups.
Children
Our Children’s Ministry serves students in kindergarten through 6th grade.
Kindergarten through 4th grade connect groups are offered at 9:00 am. During this time students will dive into a Bible lesson with age-level peers. At 10:30 am Kindergarten through 4th grade students will participate in Children’s Worship. Here they will learn from the same Scripture as the adults in the main service, but on an age-appropriate level, and sing worship songs.
5th and 6th grade students should attend the main service with their parents and join their connect group during the other service time. In their connect group preteen students learn to study the Bible independently, to pray, how to have a quiet time, and how to think through their faith.
Wednesday Nights
Preschool
Wednesday night classes are available for preschoolers from six months to two years old for any parents that are in class or Bible study. During this time preschoolers will play, learn an age-appropriate Bible lesson, and have an evening snack. Classes begin at 6:30 pm and parents should pick up promptly at 8:00 pm.
AWANA
AWANA stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” and comes from 2 Timothy 2:15. AWANA gives three-year-olds through 6th graders the opportunity to grow in spiritual discipline. Kids dive deeper into God’s word, memorize Scripture, and play games with friends. Each session wraps up with an awards ceremony from 8:05 to 8:15.
New to HBC?
Our check-in rooms open 15 minutes prior to service and class time. When you arrive at church, stop by the Welcome Center in the main lobby and one of our guest attendants will greet your family and gather some information from you. You will be shown where to check-in and will receive a set of printed stickers. Your child will have a printed name tag with a code that should be worn where teachers can see it and you will have a sticker with a matching code. Be sure to keep your sticker with you for picking up your child. You will then be shown to your child’s classroom and introduced to your child’s teachers. At pickup, you will return to your child’s classroom (or the Rally Room if they are in Children’s Worship) and present your security sticker to the teacher. A matching sticker must be presented to pick up your child.
