The Worship & Arts Ministry at HBC exists to create the best possible environment for people to have a life-altering encounter with God and also to train and equip artists to create that environment. We strive to passionately know God through the arts and to communicate the saving message of the Gospel as creatively as possible. God is moving in the lives of His people at Hephzibah as we seek Him and respond to Him in worship.

There is a place for you, so come and get involved!

Worship Choir has two requirements: love God and love to sing!  We are a group called together to worship and to lead others in singing praise.  Worship Choir meets each week to prepare for leading in worship as we sing both choir and congregational songs in our praise of God! Worship Choir is open to 8th graders and up. Childcare is provided. Rehearsals are each Sunday @ 4:45pm in Room 102. Childcare is provided.

While the name may be different, the ministry of these musicians is the same.  The Platform Ministry Teams are the band members and vocalists who lead in worship: for children, for students, and for adults.  Members of these teams are auditioned and must sign a covenant to participate as servants in this ministry.  If you are interested in playing for worship, please contact Kevin Bragg at and let him know of your interest.  We are entering a season of welcoming new members to these teams.
AMPLIFY is an instrumental music program for middle and high school students.  It trains students to develop their skills in acoustic, bass, and electric guitars, keyboards, and drums for worship of the Lord.
Praise Arts for Creative Kids, or PACK as we call it, is the place for children in first through sixth grade to learn to praise the Lord in their everyday lives!  Kids will enjoy learning to praise the Lord in music as well as other arts: drawing, painting, sculpting, acting, storytelling and lots of others.  We will be learning songs in PACK to sing and lead in Fit4Him Kidz Worship each week and will also learn what the Bible says about praising God with our lives. PACK meets on Sundays at 4:45pm in the Rally Room beginning again on January 14th, 2018.
Preschoolers love to sing, move, play instruments and have fun! Our children from 4 years old to kindergarten age truly make a joyful noise and Wee Singers is a delightful place to encourage preschoolers’ musical abilities. We also reinforce Gospel truths using voices and instruments to “make a joyful noise unto the Lord.” Wee Sing Choir meets on Sundays @ 4:45pm in Room 116 beginning again on January 14th, 2018.
Each December, the combined Worship and Arts ministry presents a celebration of Christmas as an outreach event. This event uses music, drama, dance and technology to celebrate the joy of the birth of Jesus. The event also calls on members of the HBC body to work together in areas of hospitality, promotions, costuming, set-design and follow-up.
Members of “The Auxiliary” are an extension of the Praise Band, adding depth to our music. These musicians lead our congregation on a rotating schedule throughout the year. If you play the trumpet, saxophone, violin, flute, clarinet or another orchestral instrument, please join us and use your musical talents to honor and serve Jesus Christ. Rehearsal schedules vary according to need.
